Drum Lesson FAQ
I’ve answered several commonly asked questions below. If you have any additional questions or you’d like to book a lesson, please get in touch.
Where do you teach your lessons?
I teach my drum lessons at South Street Studios in Ipswich. South Street Studios is home to a recording studio, The Smokehouse music venue and several well-equipped rehearsal and teaching rooms.
The studios are a short walk from the town centre (just around the corner from Coes on Norwich Road) and next to the Norwich Road Shoppers car park.
Address: South Street Studios, 6 South Street, Ipswich, IP1 3NU - Google Maps
How much do lessons cost?
Lessons at South Street Studios are priced as followed:
30 minutes @ £18.00
45 minutes @ £26.00
60 minutes @ £32.00
Lessons can be paid for on a lesson by lesson basis or in blocks of four. I accept payment by cash, bank transfer or debit/ credit card.
Which days are you available for lessons?
I have lesson slots available every week during the times below. Other times may also be available depending on my schedule and availability at the studio.
- Tuesdays, 9:00-12:30
- Thursdays, 15:00-18:30
- Fridays, 15:00-18:30
- Saturdays, 9:00-17:00
- Sundays, 9:00-17:00
Weekly lessons are recommended, especially if the student is new to the instrument or has no means of practicing at home. However I try to be as flexible as possible to accommodate people’s busy schedules and individual circumstances.
How do I cancel a booking if I'm unable to attend a lesson?
Lessons can be cancelled or rearranged without charge up to 24 hours before they are scheduled to take place.
Missed lessons and lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged at the full lesson’s rate.
If you need to cancel please let me know as soon as possible. If I know in advance that you won’t be able to attend your lesson it frees up the slot for someone else.
There is no obligation to continue having lessons after the first lesson.
