Five Things #174

Every Tuesday I share five things I've liked and think you might like too. Here are this week’s Five Things…

  1. Snarky Puppy play NPR’s Tiny Desk! Such a great band and quite amazing they managed to fit them all in to the studio. Nice mini-lesson on polyrhythms at 8m 20s — Snarky Puppy: Tiny Desk Concert

  2. Steve Lamacq interviews Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters. I find it very inspiring when such an accomplished musician is so humble about what they can and can't do. — Taylor Hawkins Drumming Masterclass

  3. An excellent episode of the Pessimist Archive podcast on recorded music — Recorded Music

  4. In an increasingly polarised world how do you tell truth from lies and fact from fiction? The University of Washington have an excellent video series (available for free online) that will help you do just that — Calling Bullsh*t

  5. Spotify served up tracks from a couple of albums that I hadn't listened to in quite a while yesterday. I'd loosely describe them both as indie pop/rock. Both are well worth a listen — Premonitions by Miya Folick and Crawl Space by Tei Shi.

That's all for this week. If you enjoyed it, sign up to my newsletter and you'll get the next one delivered to your inbox.
